Jaja Is Worker Friendly - Comrade Afeez
The NULGE chairman Ibeju-Lekki Local Government of Lagos State comrade Afeez Adaranijo has identified the council chairman, Hon Sesan Olowa, as a goal-getter who desires improved welfare for civil servants in his Local Government.
Speaking during an interview, the easy-going union leader stated that Hon.Sesan Olowa since assumption of office in 2021 has demonstrated a high level of commitment and dedication towards improved welfare package for civil servants in his Local Government.
He spoke further that salaries among other remunerations of workers were paid as and when due while the council chairman also took a step further to construct a befitting office accommodation with world class standard for civil servants which is ready for use.
He added that the Ibeju-Lekki number one man took a keen interest in the welfare of civil servants as efforts were ongoing to construct affordable housing units for civil servants to further improve their living conditions.
He also spoke on the annual Children's Day celebration stating that it is one of the ways to encourage the youth to stay focused and pursue their dreams proactively.
Comrade Afeez emphasised the need for the electorate to re-elect Hon.Olowa for a second term so that he will be able to use his wealth of experiences in the private sector to make the council area the economic hub of West Africa.
He admonished civil servant that they should be up to the task of complementing the efforts of the chairman by being diligent to work as they are the engine room of good governance in the society.
He pointed out that the body language of Hon Olowa revealed that he is fully determined to upscale and reposition his council area for maximum development.
